WiiWare launched in the US today. What does that mean? Well if you have a Wii, connected to the internet, you can download games from both big name software companies and from smaller, indie, developers. Essentially this reduces the cost of the software because there isn’t a need for a publisher. The PC has done this, with relative success, and its about time we saw some direct downloading from the console department. The line up today consists of six games, available: FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: My Life as a King, LostWinds, Defend your Castle, Pop, V.I.P. Casino: Blackjack, and TV Show King. There are plenty more on the horizon.
