Warner music is demanding more money for Rock Band and Guitar Hero tracks. They feel that video game publishers should pay more royalties for the tracks used in the games. Chief Exec. of Warner music, Edgar Bronfman, compared the popularity of Guitar Hero to the launch of MTV and the Apple iPod. And stated, “The amount being paid to the music industry, even though their games
are entirely dependent on the content we own and control, is far too
small.” Oh the music industry, you keep f**king up and now want others to pay up. [MCV]
