In case you were worried, and if you were you really need to check your priorities, Mark Hamill will be providing the Joker’s voice in the upcoming Batverse game Arkham Asylum. Heath Ledger, who garnered audience and critical praise for his turn in the role in last Summer’s The Dark Knight was unavailable, due to accidental overdose. Hamill has been doing Joker voicework in various Batman animated projects since 1992. You may recognize Hamill from the late 70’s/early 80’s space opera Star Wars, where he played a whiny farm boy with magical powers. Also returning is Kevin Conroy, whom many consider to be the definative Batman orator. Arkham Asylum is due in 2009 and will be available on XBox 360 and PS3.
