Leo gets an Oscar

Leo and I have a love / hate relationship. Which is weird because we’ve never met and probably never will so it’s mostly me loving / hating him at various points in life. Maybe I’m still bitter about him stealing the Seavers Christmas gifts. Or the fact that he hangs out with a plethora of 20 something models on the beach at will. Or maybe it’s just that I’m not a huge fan of him as an actor, and I’ve gone on record saying I think he only has three good flicks. Would I have a beer with him? Sure. But I don’t think he’s as great of an actor as he’s made out to be. I’ll probably get a lot of shit for that, and I already do from most of my friends, but in the end it’s just an opinion with zero weight. That’s why I thought the Red Carpet Rampage, created by the folks at The Line, was a hilarious (albeit not really 8bit, but remember, we make exceptions) ode to the man without an Oscar. Of course, that game spread like wildfire in the weeks leading up to the Oscars. Leo was pretty much locked in for the The Revenant win (which is one of my three films by the way). Still the simplicity of the game mixed with the inescapable adorableness of Leo chasing an Oscar, with the catch that he never will, is priceless. Even if now…not accurate. I’m happy for Leo and honestly this clip made my day after his big win – like his character Hugh Glass he didn’t have much to say. [via product hunt]
